VISION-NARY

There is no doubt that the American landscape has changed dramatically over the past decade. It has been estimated that over one-third of all Americans live below the poverty line. Over 10% are unemployed...many more are under-employed.  Homeless...hopeless.
But my vision, my perception of  America is drastically different than the one described by presidential candidate and former Governor Mitt Romney. You see when he said that over 47% of America feel like victims, demanding government handouts for their lot in life, it was a huge window with which to see the  true character of the man. The truth is, he hates 47% of Americans....he sees those 47% as lazy, shiftless, worthless wastes of human flesh that he need not concern himself with.
He sees 47% of our once great country much like the photo below...using their government assistance to buy  booze, cigarettes, hanging out on their porches drinking Colt 45, their girth spilling out of their dirty white wife beaters, while their filthy children play in the yard.
My vision is not nearly as cynical, not nearly as bleak.....I see good people, unemployed because of the economy, desperately trying to find work and self worth...they are victims of sorts...victims of an economy brought to its knees by rich mans tax cuts all the while waging two wars...an economy brought to its knees by greed of the financial, banking and real estate sectors...an economy tanking through no fault of their own. I see good people forced to accept financial assistance, swallowing their pride for the welfare of their families.
And I see children forced to grow up in fear and poverty...forced to grow up witnessing the  fear and desperation of  their parents...I see children forced to go hungry. I see children living in flop houses, cheap hotels or automobiles. No one wants to live this way, Governor. No one feels entitled to theses lifestyles.
So when a president comes out and admits that he loathes 47% of the very country he has so desperately sought to govern over for nearly a decade....when I see a VP candidate who wants to correct the financial ignorance of the former President  he so valiantly supported by sharply reducing public assistance and the food stamp program...when I see a presidential ticket whose vision of our future is a Darwinian nightmare where the rich get more tax cuts and the lower classes get less and less...when I see a presidential candidate that wants to send more children to bed hungry...when I hear a president who mocks the unfortunate..when I see a presidential candidate who has so obviously given up on nearly half of this countries citizens just like he gave upon the American auto industry...I have to wonder about the mans character. I have to wonder about the  mans morals and compassion.
And I have to wonder about such a mans religion...what on earth have they been teaching him?...obviously not Bible based teaching, not from my Bible at least. Obviously they use a Bible that says screw the less fortunate...hoard your riches and fuck the rest.
When I see a presidential ticket so hell bent on dividing the country into the haves and the have nots, I have to wonder who raised these heartless bastards. I have to wonder how they sleep at night. And I have to wonder who on earth want to sign up for their visions for this nations future and actually support them...and I have to wonder about a country who can fill a room at $50,000.00 a plate to hear this blow hard describe how 47% of this country's citizens are useless pieces of shit.

A PATTERN OF BEHAVIOR

I don't care if you have been a conservative all of your life. I don't care if you are pro-life, pro death penalty and want to put an Uzi in the hands of all toddlers....I don't care if you want to replace the  constitution with the book of Mark....surely you can't be so stupid as to elect this guy...he is seriously unstable and is making a mockery of our country...and he just wants to be our president....imagine if he actually got in!

WHEN AMERICA LOSES, WE WIN (the GOP credo)

When Mitch McConnell was quoted as saying that the GOP's number one priority must be making President Obama a one term president, it meant a three year smear campaign, all time records for congressional  filibusters and pathetic attempts to make President Obama owner of the eight years of economic failures of King George II.
But who would have thought the leader of their party would rush to a midnight press release in an attempt to make President a traitor and a extremist sympathizer. With a smirk of pleasure, Romney tried to score political points on the death off our four American heroes. They barely were declared dead and the Romney machine was in full motion. I have been following politics since college in the late seventies and I have yet to experience anything so heinous, so distasteful and so UN-American. The cartoon says it all----as all of America was mentally at half staff, the Romney machine never flew higher. How do these bastards sleep at night?

Courtesy of Meme GOP...as good as it gets....
An economy is a lot like a tree....you water the top and hope some water trickles down to the roots.....whoa, wait a minute....maybe I should rethink this.

LYING LIARS AND THE LIES THEY TELL

From The Raw Story
"During her Republican National Convention speech last month, Ann Romney suggested that she and her husband had once been so poor that they “ate a lot of pasta and Tuna fish” and their “dining room table was a fold down ironing board.”
In an interview that aired Sunday on NBC, Ann Romney distanced herself from that version of history.
“Mitt and I do recognize that we have not had a financial struggle in our lives,” the Republican presidential nominee’s wife explained. “But I want people to believe in their hearts that we know what it is like to struggle. And our struggles have not been financial, but they have been with health and with difficulties in different things in life.”

This mea culpa was not made because they wanted to come clean....it was because in epic proportions, the American people saw it as the lying bullshit it was.
This was not a Joe Biden off the cuff gaffe...this was from her convention speech, something that was vetted and edited a million times over before she gave it before the conventioneers and the 20 odd channels that covered it.
It was what it was...an orchestrated attempt to lie and create the impression upon the viewers that the Romneys somehow experienced what the 99% are feeling now....something they cannot do without lying.
I long for a politician that tells the truth. A politician that dares be honest and speak to the voters with a modicum of integrity. INTEGRITY....look it up, folks. We should be demanding some character from our leaders....some personal traits we would like to emulate.
Because any campaign that will lie about eating off an ironing board will lie about anything...any campaign that will lie about SOMETHING STUPID like eating off an ironing board will lie about EVERYTHING.
And that is my world.....the "World According to Kimba".....thanks for reading.

HE GAVE UP ON AMERICA

".....Mitt Romney grew up in Detroit.  My dad managed,
his dad ran an entire automobile company, American Motors.
Yes, what I don't understand -- and in spite
of that, he was willing to let Detroit go bankrupt.

I don't think he's a bad guy.
No -- no, no, I don't think he's a bad
guy.  I am sure he grew up loving cars as much as I did.  But
what I don't understand -- what I don't think he understood -- I
don't think he understood that saving the automobile worker,
saving the industry, what it meant all of America, not just
autoworkers.

I think he saw it the Bain way --
I mean this sincerely.
I think he saw it in terms
of balance sheets and write offs.
Folks, the Bain way

may bring your firm the highest profits,
but it is not the way to
lead our country
from the highest office.

When things -- when things hung in the
balance -- when things hung in the balance, I mean literally
hung in the balance, the president understood this was about a
lot more hope than the automobile industry.  This was about
restoring America's pride.  He understood -- he understood in
his gut what it would mean to leave a million people without
hope or work if he didn't act.  And he also knew -- he also
knew, he intuitively understood the message that it would have
sent around the world if the United States gave up on an
industry that helped put America on the map in the first place."

WHY ON EARTH AREN'T THESE STATES IN PLAY?

The 10 poorest states of USA - Republican majority
The 10 most uneducated states of USA - Republican majority
The 10 most religious states of USA - Republican majority
- Mississippi
- Arkansas
- Tennessee
- West Virginia
- Louisiana
- Montana
- South Carolina
- Kentucky
- Alabama
- North Carolina

(* About most religious States we have some little differences but basically are the same southern States, Alabama in # 2, Georgia in # 7, Oklahoma in # 9 and a tie between Kentucky and Texas in number 10 )

Talk about voting against their best interests....the citizens of these states mean nothing to the Republicans, except every four years....

Having said that, they do get more than their share of federal money...
States receiving the most federal funding per tax dollar paid:
2. West Virginia: $2.57
3. Mississippi: $2.47
6. Alabama: $2.03
8. Montana    $1.92
9. South Carolina: $1.92
Good luck with those Ryan budget cuts....

REWARD THE RICH AND PENALIZE ALL OTHERS

That's the very independent Bernie Sanders from the state of my  birth,Vermont. Our Don Quixote, railing against massive pork barrel spending, two wars that made no sense, tax cuts that set off an economic vortex of deficits and the criminal greed from our banks and real estate industry that nearly caused our second great depression.
And what is the response from the conservatives that caused most of our financial situation (besides Clinton repealing Glass-Stegall)......continue to reward the rich and balance the budget by penalizing the middle class with additional taxes. Their rational? The rich are the so called "job creators"...as if Bill Gates will take his share of the tax breaks bestowed upon him and create a new business start-up and hire 10,000 more people.....you don't need to be a rancher to recognize bullshit when you smell it.
Once and for all, let's define exactly who the "job creators" are....people who buy things.  That's right...businesses are created due to potential demand. People are hired when sales increase to the extent that their present work force cannot respond to it. Businesses will increase their inventories when business dictates....when their inventory days of supply reduce due to increased demand. Production will increase when demand increases...when people start buying things. And this will require a strong and vibrant middle class.

The economic platform according to Kimba?

Get rid of the Bush tax cuts for the rich ($1million in yearly earnings)  permanently, which will increase revenue....don't worry Gates, don't worry Koch Brothers, don't worry Walton family...you will survive...in fact, and here is the best part...you will get the money back ten fold, because we are going to reduce the tax rates on all others...and they  are going to flood the marketplace and buy your goods...your inventories decrease, your sales increase, your profits increase, and you will be forced to hire more people to meet the increased demand. It's a win-win-win.
Balance the budget by reducing social programs? Unnecessary...because we will cut all spending by 10% across the board. Every program, every agency. All those that think there is so much as one agency without at least 10% waste, please raise your hand...I thought so. It will be incumbent on the leadership of each agency to ferret out waste in order to survive. How about an anonymous tip line at the federal level for whistle blowers to report waste and ridiculously criminal spending of the tax payers money?
Finally, we concentrate on the Fed...and the stability of the dollar. The worth of the dollar relative to foreign markets...especially China. Establish penalties to Americans who zap our wealth by sending their money out of the country....penalize American companies who ship our jobs overseas....and tariff all goods coming into our country so that is becomes cheaper to manufacture here. And repeal the minimum wage...a true free market. Let the American worker decide what a fair wage is based on whether or not someone is willing to accept the job and salary.
Health care? Medicare programs for all those willing to buy it regardless of age. Add it to the Affordable Heath Care Act immediately. The reduced cost of Medicaid versus the profit bloated insurance tyrants will force them to become more competitive with their pricing.
It's not everything, but it would be a rational start. Next up..."too big to fail corporations, anchor babies, immigration, the G.I. Bill, educational system, and on and on.....but for gawd sakes...don't try and fix the economic problems Congress has created over the past decades on the backs of the middle class, who have done nothing to create it...except vote for the morons who caused the problem by saying Aye..... and who now are saying no......... to fix the problems they themselves have created.
And that's my world..."The World According to Kimba." Thanks for reading.
