Critics have said the Obama home buyer tax credit only created imaginary demand. I agree....home sales up 7.45%? 20.5% increase over April 2009? Obviously President Obama has created imaginary people to purchase imaginary homes, creating the imaginary illusion that the economy is growing. Imagine that??

A major high end jewelry place said they have had doubled their sales as of late. I do not remember where I heard this from... but it was today.

We are experiencing positive sales growth over the same month in 2009 where I work. Repaints are fine, commercial is good, industrial is good, but anything in new construction is at least a year off, to say the least.

Well I hope we can get out of this rut Kimba! I do not think the Pres helped by spending as much (and will spend) as he did. I think our economic engine may be pulling us out as the Euro collapses a bit. BUT, if this is a result of anything Obama did, more power to him.
Well I think ιδΊε«ζ said it all in his comment above LOL, but I would like to get the final totals of what he did spend, and where. I know some of the money has been repaid already, but were diverted to increased unemployment benefits. I haven't heard what percentage of the money has actually been spent.
Interesting choice going with Geithner, a former Shearson man.
I have two gripes about Obama... he ran to the middle and he lacks leadership skills. He just goes with the wind. At least we would know Hillary was in charge...same for Mc Cain. His lapses in communication is what shocks me. I fully expected weekly communications from him to the people, but we are getting almost nothing. And in the absence of any one true leader, the masses will listen to whoever speaks the loudest, and that isn't good. If the American consumer would unclinch their hands from around their wallet and see things are getting a little better, that we are going to be OK, maybe the recovery won't be so damn sluggish.
