MORE WOES FOR THE GOP

The Associated Press is reporting that in light of the recent scandal from stall number three at the Minneapolis Airports men's bathroom, Idaho's Senator Craig will announce his resignation tomorrow.
But that is not the worse news, to go along with the announced departure of Senator Allard from Colorado, comes the death blow....30 year senior Senator from Virginia, John Warner has announced he will likely retire at the end of his term.
Things looked dicey enough as is, having to defend 22 of their Senate seats to the liberals 12, having to explain the actions of the present administration, as well as already feeling the back end of a 51 to 49 Democratic majority (and listening to Ms. Pelosi to boot), but with these departures, things really, really do not look good for the conservatives in the next election.

The problem I see is the lack of anyone on the Left saying the all too common act of public homosexual-sex is a problem. In other words, I have heard conservative pundits say things like, “if true [and I think it is] he should be asked to step down because this act is morally wrong.” Whereas, I haven’t heard the moral equation equated to public “hooking up” from the left which is prevalent in the gay community. This problem use to be confined to the outlying borders of public parks and public park restrooms there, George Michaels for instance, but even there many people were exposed to the obsessive-compulsive sexual disorder that the American Psychological Association use to categorize as such. From the left all I hear is that the senator voted against gay-marriage amendments and is now a hypocrite. Of course, I do not watch reenactments done by Olberman, but I bet that such issues as those brought up by a homosexual conservative are never addressed.

" . . . . and now all manner of sexual perversion enjoys the protection and support of once what was a legitimate civil-rights effort for decent people. The real slippery slope has been the one leading into the Left's moral vacuum. It is a singular attitude that prohibits any judgment about obvious moral decay because of the paranoid belief that judgment of any sort would destroy the gay lifestyle, whatever that is.

Tammy Bruce goes on to say, "I believe this grab for children by the sexually confused adults of the Gay Elite represents the most serious problem facing our culture today. . . . Here come the elephant again: Almost without exception, the gay men I know (and that’s too many to count) have a story of some kind of sexual trauma or abuse in their childhood -- molestation by a parent or an authority figure, or seduction as an adolescent at the hands of an adult. The gay community must face the truth and see sexual molestation of an adolescent for the abuse it is, instead of the 'coming-of-age' experience many [gays] regard it as being. Until then, the Gay Elite will continue to promote a culture of alcohol and drug abuse, sexual promiscuity, and suicide by AIDS."

The public perception that there is a "moral vacuum" on the left, and the right is some sort of party of the moral righteous, is a misnomer which is being torn down from within by the very party leaders who have (very successfully) propalgated it.
Senator Craig is a perfect example of this kind of two faced morally righteous public stance (voted YES to uphold the ban on same sex marriages, NO to inclusion of sexual orientation bias as part of a hate crimes bill and NO to a bill which would prohibit job discrimination by sexual orienbtation), all the while at least "dangling his foot" (clever...I am so damn clever) into the homosexual lifestyle and the public bathroom stalls of the nation.
I am not shocked that many of those that vehemently take a stand for a moral agenda do so as a smokescreen to hide their deepest, darkest secrets, in this case homosexual tendancies.
I am also not calling for his resignation, merely that he comes clean. He should come clean with his voting base of 27 years, his party, and apologize.

I think Michael Rogers said it best in his blog http://blogactive.blogspot.com...
"Today, Larry Craig apologized to everyone except the people he has most harmed by his actions -- gay Americans. His legacy will include his career-long work in opposing basic civil rights for gay and lesbian Americans, creating an atmosphere where it is unsafe for many to be honest about their lives.
Those in American politics who use anti-gay sentiments for political purposes must learn from this experience and reconsider their divisive tactics. Politicians like Larry Craig have helped to create a society that drives many men and women into the closet. Larry Craig's arrest, when coupled with the hypocrisy of seeking sexual encounters from the very men he actively legislates against, becomes merely the catalyst to expose the dishonesty and secrecy of anti-gay politicians who expect a community to harbor its own enemies within.
The time when politicians can stand with one foot on the platform of homophobia and the other in the closet has come to an end."

As for Olberman's comments. they are on my video bar on my blog..

Drink up my friend from the fountain of knowledge on the left.

As for the real question I have been discussing with a fellow manager in my company (who is very devout) and with others is...
Are homosexual tendancies developed (learned), or are they innate....The gay community is ever expansive, and, although I have no direct data, can only surmize that of the members of the gay community, only a relatively small percentage of them have experienced molestation or a sexual experience which has led them to lead an alternative lifestyle.
