Barack Osama?
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's last name is spelled "Osama" on hundreds of absentee ballots mailed out this week to voters in Rensselaer County. ''This was a typo,'' Rensselaer County (N.Y.) Republican Commissioner Larry Bugbee tells the Albany Times Union in one of the biggest understatements of the campaign.

"Both sides are saying this is an honest mistake, so unless we find out otherwise, I don't see it going that way," McNally said. ~ Times Union

"No question this is an honest mistake innocently done," said Edward McDonough, the Democratic commissioner. "We catch almost everything."

"This was a typo," said Republican Commissioner Larry Bugbee. "We have three different staff members who proof these things and somehow the typo got by us.".... But even the county Democratic election commissioner is apologizing for what he calls a terrible mistake. ~ Ibid.

What this shows is that the public school system without competition is useless! In fact, there would be more mistakes if you took graduates from the public schools where the most money is spent per pupil... proving it is the philosophy that has crept into the schools over the years (new math and spiral reading as two examples) and not how much money you spend.

The question becomes this: What percentage of the Gross Domestic Product we spend on the military inclusive (in other words, we have military bases in over sixty countries, we have wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, we have the world’s largest military by far)... what percentage of every dollar that is earned in the United States goes to the military?

4.6% on our military (about a fourth of that is for the wars).
We spend double that on education.
