I just called my 70-something Jewish mother in Palm Beach County and gave her an earful about how Sarah Silverman thinks she is too old and stupid to make her own sound political decisions. "That's a lot of bunk!" was my Yiddishe mama's emphatic response, and I couldn't agree more.
Sorry, I just had to put it up. She is just so funny, and yes, frequently so wrong.
Oh, I'm glad you put it up, because it's this kind of oddball thing that makes an election season interesting, and thanks to your blog, I was able to vent about it. My need to do so was so great that I actually did something unprecedented here - I made my ethnicity known in a public forum. I usually keep it to myself, not just because it plays an almost non-existent role in my daily life, but because something happens to people when they find out which cloth you're cut from. They start sending you things like this idiot video, which they think you'll appreciate just because it includes words like "schlep" and "oy." Oy is right.
